PuRe CraZiNeSS

Ok so I know that it has been a long time since I have updated my blog so I figured it was about time. What better time to update than with a weekend that was so crazy and chaotic but a lot of fun. My brother in law Ryan took these really cute pictures of my and my princess!
One of the traditions that my dad has kept on doing every year ever since I was a little girl was going to breakfast with Santa. Well I don't go anymore but it was Hailee's first year going. We went out to Grandpa's house Friday afternoon so all of the grandkids could decorate Gingerbread Houses.

This is Hailee's, Gabi's, and Isobel's, Gingerbread houses before they get too far on them. They love being able to play with candy and icing and doing whatever they want with their own house. What is even more fun is Hailee worked on hers for like 30 minutes then she told me that I could finish it for her. :)
Here is the finished houses. Aren't they cute.

After they finished decorating their houses they thought it would be fun to play twister.

The next morning they all woke up early and went down to Thanksgiving Point and had breakfast with Santa Clause. They got to get their picture taken with him (my dad has the photo) and they made reindeer food, and elf masks and got their faces painted. Hailee had a lot of fun.

I got Hailee around 11 because it was her dance recital also. I drove down to Thanksgiving Point to pick her up because the rest of girls weren't quite done with their crafts but Hailee had to be there at 12. (Or so I thought) We got to Granger High and I got her all changed into her cute dance costume.
Here she is with her cute Snowman night gown on. She is with her bestest friend ever..... Cambree. They did such a good job. Uncle Ryan recorded the performance because my video camera is broken. I will post it as soon as I get it.

It was the cutest thing. Hailee sat in the auditorium very patiently and then when it was her turn to come out on stage she ran over to the edge of the stage and with the biggest smile on her face waved to us. During Hailee's dance one of the little girls hair bows fell out of their hair and Hailee being the big helper she is ran over and grabbed the bow and helped the little girl put it back in her hair. I love watching the little kids dance. It is so cute to see them just stand there and completely forget the dance and get nervous or just start dancing however the want.

As if this hadn't already been a crazy weekend. My mom surprised all of the girls young and young at heart with pedicures and they were Papa's (Paul's) treat.
We had so much fun and it was sheer craziness as we were all getting pedicures and taking pictures and trying to keep Hailee and Isobel from falling in the little feet tubs.

We went to Lovely Nails because they are the only place we know that does PLAID patterns on your toe nails. We all got plaid done on our toes and Gabi got them on her finger nails too.

It was a fun weekend and full of a lot of time with the Family.

My Dancing Princess

So Hailee started her first dance class yesterday. It was so much fun. It is so cute to see these little 3-4 year old little girls dance. Hailee has been wanting to take dance class for so long now. I told her that once she was potty trained that she would be able to start dance. Well the other day I got an email from Alicia, the lady that watches Hailee telling me that Cambree one of the other girls there was going to be starting dance and it was only $30 a month. I couldn't resist. I got the information from Cambree's mom Melissa and this past Saturday was there first day. Friday, Hailee and I went shopping and bought her ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, a ballet skirt, and of course a leotard.
When we got home from shopping Hailee had to get all dressed up in her new dance outfit and she saw the girl on the tag and that her hair was pulled back in a bun and so she said that she had to have her hair look the same. Well Hailee's hair isn't very long, and very curly, but I did my best. I was able to get it back into a ponytail with the help of a fine brush, lots of hairspray and four barrettes. It is so stinking cute.
Hailee was so happy when we went to her first dance class and she was even more excited that her best friend Cambree was in the class with her. It was so much fun to sit and watch her dance and be a ballerina. Hailee really loved when they got to put on their tap shoes and the noise that they make.

A lot of the pictures are of the back of her head because they were facing away from the parents so the kids would pay attention to the teacher and not act up when they see their parents.

Lately...

Well now that my changes have been made and I am now private I thought I would take this time to update everyone on my summer. It was quite eventful and uneventful at the same time. We are not going to focus on the negative things that happened because I want Hailee to remember only the fun and happy times her and I had this summer.

Over the 4th of July Hailee and I had the opportunity to go up to Idaho to visit Jeremy, Allison, Lorelei, and Meredith. It was a lot of fun. We didn't get a chance to stay up there for the entire weekend because Hailee and I got sick but the 3 days that we were up there was a lot of fun. Hailee loved playing in the backyard with the girls in the swimming pool. They loved to run and jump into the water.

Hailee loved seeing her cousins. They all loved wearing the same pajama's that Nanna and Papa bought them. They loved to jump on the air matress and just run around and get all of their energy out. (or at least you would think) Those girls have so much energy they didn't stop until they would finally lay in bed and just rest for a few minutes and then they were out, but unfortunately morning always came way too early for me. I have a blackout shade in my bedroom so it's always dark. It makes it nice especially when we get to bed late because then Hailee will always sleep in a little longer because she thinks it's still night time.

It was really nice to be able to get out of town for a few days and I appreciate Jeremy and Allison opening up their home to us so we could come and visit. It is always nice to go visit family to stay in touch and so the cousins can hopefully stay close.

Thank you again. We love and miss you guys so much and hope that you will be able to come and visit us or that we can come and visit you really soon. Allison thank you for the pumpkin cookies they were amazing.

Over the weekend of the 24th Hailee and I went up to my dad's cabin at bear lake. I was hoping for another good weekend to be able to get out of town and let my hair down (yes it's short) and just relax with Hailee and my family. Boy was I wrong. Hailee had so much fun tubing and playing in the water. Every time people were going out on the boat she just had to go. She loved sitting on the front of the bow of the boat. We had gone out on a ride and all of the guys wanted to ride the big yellow water weinie. The wind started blowing and so the guys thought it would just make the ride that much better where they could get the bigger waves and hopefully tip each other off the ride and just really wear each other out.  We were out on the water for about 20 minutes and the wind really picked up and the waves were so big that they were coming over the side of the boat. All of the girls got soaking wet and were trying to hide up under the sides of the boat where there were some cubby bins but that didn't let them escape the water pouring into the boat. Well now that my changes have been made and I am now private I thought I would take this time to update everyone on my summer. It was quite eventful and uneventful at the same time. We are not going to focus on the negative things that happened because I want Hailee to remember only the fun and happy times her and I had this summer.

The next day was a much better day and the water was perfect. Hailee even went out and got in a tube with Sammy and Nicole. They had so much fun. Hailee my sweet little daredevil just wanted to go faster and faster. Sammy wasn't as willing. Once we finished riding in the tube Hailee wanted to just play in the water. Now I have been working with Hailee in swimming pools going under the water and she has got really good at holding her nose and closing her eyes while she goes under the water. I jumped into the water and Hailee asked Grandpa Bob to throw her in. She loved being thrown into the water and she did such a good job going under and she didn't freak out at all. She is such a big girl.

We have done other fun things this summer. We went to Lagoon with Nanna's work which was so much fun and the weather was perfect. I am so excited for Hailee to get taller so she can go on all of the big kid rides. She is the adrenaline junky just like her mommy. :)

I hope everyone is well and I am hoping to be able to keep this more updated now that I should have some spare time when Hailee is at her dads house. I love you all and I hope that you will all stay in touch.

We need your help!

OK so I know it has been a while since I have updated my blog so I figured I should do an update. My mom and I have been extremely busy making quilts. We are making them to take to the children in the NI CU at Primary Children's Hospital and Orphanages. We are going to be starting a non profit organization called "The Difference One Can Make." We are hoping that people will purchase or donate $30 per blanket to help make it so each child can have a snuzzly blanket to cuddle with. We know that there are so many children in the Utah let alone the United States that don't have a blanket to call their own . We had the joy of making blankets for Gabi, Isobel, Lorelei, Meredith, Hailee, and Kysen for Christmas this past year and they did a whole 'Cuddly Christmas' theme with PJ's and snuzzly blankets and cuddly animals. After a few months we have noticed that they have become their favorite blankets and can't go anywhere without them.

One night mom and I were talking about how there are so many children that have to go without that snuzzly blanket that they can call their own. We feel so strong about this and have been spending our weekends making beautiful twin size blankets that we will take to local hospitals, orphanages, and homeless shelters. We have set a goal to see how quick we can make 1000 blankets. This is where we need your help. We are hoping that people will find it in their heart to donate $30 towards the purchase of a blanket. We are going to be setting up a blog for the Charity in the near future and you can access the blog from my blog. We hope that you will tell your friends and family about this. We can't do this without every ones help.

If you feel inclined to donate for 1 or 100 blankets :) you can make the check or money order payable to Susan Pace or Annie Brooks. We will be getting the name of the charity registered and a bank account set up with the bank in the next few weeks so that everyone will be able to make the checks payable to 'The Difference One Can Make' To find out where to mail your check to please contact Susan or I and if you don't have our numbers please contact someone who may. I just don't want to post that information at this time. We will set up a PO Box that will be posted on the blog for all to see.

We also understand that times are tough right now and know that everyone may not be able to donate. If you are not able to we completely understand. We just hope that you will keep us in your prayers and share this information with your family and friends so we can reach our goal and hopefully surpass it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEE ANN!!!

I know it's a few days early but I didn't know when the next time is that I will be able to get online to update this information and I just have to let my little princess know how much I love her. I thought the best way would be to tell her the story of the day she was born.
It was Friday, March 03, 2006. I had gone into work for only half a day because I had a Dr. appointment at 10:45. I had gone to the Dr and for my weekly checkup which, anyone who has kids knows that they are the most pleasant visits ever. (NOT!!) So I go to my appointment and the Dr had told me that there would be no having a baby over the weekend. I was very sad and very ready to have this baby. I called my mom in tears telling her the bad news. We had hoped for some better news so she could try and book a flight down to St George from Salt Lake.
I took my husband back to work and then went home and decided to take a nap. I woke up after having only half hour nap, stood up, and............ my water broke. I called my husband Caleb and told him to get home because we were going to be having a baby. I called my mom and told her together butt on the road. She had a long drive to make and she had to be here because I wanted to have her in the delivery room. My mom was still in Salt Lake but she had her bags packed and in the car waiting to be able to leave in a minutes notice. Anyone who has ever been to St George knows that it can take 4 1/2+ hours drive time. My mom was white knuckle grip speeding so fast the whole way down. She was doing a whopping 80 miles an hour the whole way. :)
We got to the hospital and get checked in and I was in a waiting room The nurse comes in and Caleb was on the phone with my mom giving her an update. The nurse screams, "Oh my! You are already dilated to an 8 1/2. We need to get you to delivery and now." Caleb told my mom to slow down and just get to the hospital safely because she was going to miss the birth. My mom starts sobbing (shocker) We get into the delivery room and now I am waiting for the most wonderful person ever.... the anesthesiologist. Once I got my epidural I was in heaven.
The nurse comes in and tells me that she can't get a hold of my Dr. WHAT!! EXCUSE ME!!! He must not have been told that he was to be at my beckon call when it came time to having this baby. Luckily my Dr was easy for us to get in touch with because he is Caleb's Uncle. No it wasn't awkward because that is what he went to school for and it's not like he was my uncle. We called Caleb's grandma asked her if she knew where he was and she told us that he was at a play. We called his Aunt who had her phone on and told her that I was in labor and in the hospital.
The nurse came in to check my contractions and she told me that Hailee had fallen asleep. It was something that she had never seen before in all of her years of nursing. Quick, call mom and find out where she is. Caleb called and she was in Cedar City. Just over 30 - 45 minutes away. We told her to speed quickly Hailee had fallen asleep. She made it and 45 minutes after she got there Hailee was born.
Mom told me that she had prayed and prayed telling Hailee that she needed to wait for Nanna to get there. Hailee had fallen asleep and had taken her time for Nanna to show up. The next day Nanna went to Old Navy to do some shopping and all of the clothes she saw had turtles on them. It got her to thinking about the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. She couldn't help but call Hailee her little turtle. The name has stuck and every time we go anywhere and see a turtle we have to buy it for you.
Happy Birthday my sweet princess I love you so much and you will never know just how much you are loved. Not only by me but by everyone else in your family. You have such a sweet spirit and always bring a smile to every ones day.
These past 3 years have truly been a blessing and I am looking forward to all the joys that come with being a parent. You have taught me so much and I can't imagine my world without you.

And So My Blogging Begins.

OK so now that I have my blog all set up, I figured it is time to update my posting. Yes I finally gave in to Sarah and got a blog set up for my family. I guess my facebook account is just not good enough. :) Just a heads up to all that read this. I will be going private in a few weeks. I am just a little too particular about who I want to see this.

Well enough about that, now about the good part..... ME!! (and my family I guess)
Caleb and I have been married for 3 years in January and Hailee will be turning 3 in March. (Don't ask) We are living with my parents in their basement trying to save up to buy a home, hopefully when the economy starts to get better.

Caleb has been staying busy at his job at Hunter Douglas (window coverings), taking care of customer service issues. He loves his job but would much rather be doing what he really loves which is either spending time with Hailee and I :) or working underneath the hood of a car.

I have been extremely busy with work as well. I work for the state helping people get on public assistance and with the way the economy is now I must say my four day work weeks are filled with stress and the never ending thankfulness that my family is so blessed and we all have jobs.

Hailee, oh where to begin. I swear she is 2 going on 21. Hailee loves all of her friends that she has at daycare. She is filled with so much energy, love, and selflessness. She loves to play in her make-up and play dress up. She is my little dependent turtle. The greatest thing is when anyone has come home from a long day at work and Hailee just screams and runs into your arms and just hugs as tight as she can. All the stresses of the day just melt away. We have been working with her on the potty training which we all know has to be on the child's terms. She has been so good and she just gets so excited every time she goes potty. She gets her reward every time and she feels like such a big girl. She really is the greatest thing that has every happened to me and Caleb. (other than each other)

I am getting so excited for Hailee's birthday. She will be turning 3 and we are going to be having a big party for her with all of her cousins and her friends from daycare.

Well I believe that is enough for now. I am going to go and spend some time with the family.
I look forward to seeing what my next entry will be. Oh, and so should you. :)

Stay Tuned.....

So I finally gave in to Sarah and decided to create a blog. I am going to let you all know now that I can't guarantee just how often I will be updating this so please be patient. Sarah says I will eventually get addicted....... We will see.

To be continued... HA HA HA
